Just Folks
JUST FOLKS COMES TO AN END.
On Saturday, December 15, 2012, Just Folks wrapped up its 21st and final year on Delmarva Public Radio. This was the 902nd "new" edition of Just Folks.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the folks who have called, emailed, and sent thank you cards to tell me how much Just Folks has meant to them and how sorry they are to see Just Folks end. It's been a long run, and I am very pleased that I have had this opportunity to entertain and amuse and enlighten you with what I hope has been some of the very best music you have ever heard on the radio.
Some of you have let me know that you plan your Saturday nights around Just Folks. I am grateful that you've taken me into your homes, onto your boats, and along in your cars; shared me with friends and family members; and supported Delmarva Public Radio in part because they broadcast Just Folks. Whether you have listened for a few months or for a few years or for the entire duration of the 21 year long run, I thank you for being there.
The decision to bring the program to an end did not come easily. While it will be somewhat of a relief to have my Saturdays back to myself, I am certain that I will miss bringing the music to you each week.
Thank you again for listening.
With best regards,
John Kalb
