(AP) - Gov. Martin O'Malley says he plans to work on overhauling Maryland's bail hearing system, after a bill that would have done so stalled in the Legislature.</p><p>O'Malley told reporters Monday that he will work with stakeholders who supported the overhaul approach backed by Sen. Brian Frosh.</p><p>That would use data on each defendant, such as criminal history, to assess the person's risk of committing more crimes if they were released from jail. Joseph Curran and Stephen Sachs will announce their support.</p><p>Curran was Maryland's attorney general from 1987 to 2007. (AP) - The Maryland Senate has voted to keep one of the most controversial parts of a gun-control bill - a licensing provision for handguns that would require owners to submit fingerprints.</p><p>The Senate rejected an amendment on Wednesday that would have taken the licensing part out of the bill on a 20-27 vote.</p><p>Sen.
